The first time I met "BOLAC" was Monday June 6th 1988. It was on top of Liathach in Torridon, where I and 2 friends literally bumped into Dave Foster and Martin Harris in the mist. We had a better guide book, they had a car, a perfect match! So we spent the next 2 days climbing Beinn Alligin and Bienn Eighe together in glorious weather.
