24 May to 2 Jun 1996, Rob (Martha had to work). YHs and camped. Big breakfast at Cobbler Hotel, climbed
The Cobbler. Excellent scrambling (Argyle's Eyeglass & South Peak). Ratagan YH. The Saddle via Forcan Ridge
& Sgurr na Signe. Camped by old bridge. South Glen Shiel Ridge inc. Sgurr Beag. Drove north to Ardmair
campsite via brochs at Glenelg, Applecross. Beinn Dearg Mhor (must rate as one of the hardest & best days
in the mountains....). Stac Pollaidh then a long drive down to Knoydart via Inverness, Loch Ness. Camped.
Backpacked along the loch shore to Barisdale. During the night, wind got very strong, Rob's tent battered. I
had to hold poles off my face as wind forced tent almost flat. Not surprisingly, pole broke at 00:30!
Evacuated (with 2 girls) into bothy. Walked out, fierce winds. Glenfinnan, B&B, luxury! Corruhully Horseshoe.
