092, West Sussex, May 17-18 2003

17th May 2003, Dave Foster, Martin Harris, Pete, Bill & Chris. A camping weekend. I only walked the first day,
so didn't camp. Met at Rico's Café, North Street, Midhust, West Sussex. The venue is the west end of the South
Downs. Walked the valley of the River Rother, including a few kilometres along the track of a dismantled railway.
At Perryfields Cottage, where DF's uncle was born in 1913 (and which he had not been back to since 1959),
crossed the Downs to the site of the overnight camp in a field close to a wood near East Dene. Helped them set
up camp, got fire going, then left them to enjoy their suppers.
