25th May 2002. Day trip to see Steven's International rugby debut for Malta! On Saturday, 25th May 2002, Steve won his first full international cap for Malta against Norway, coming on as replacement for the last 25 minutes. The match was a draw, but was sufficient for Malta to be promoted to Division 3 of the European Senior Championship League. This win was significant to the country as it was the first time any Maltese National team had been promoted.
