3½ days skiing with Matt & Steve (both boarders). We shared a small but very convenient flat, a short walk from the ski lift. The snow was excellent, though the weather was mixed (some poor visibility, some full-on sunshine). Skied in -19°C! Les Contamines has wonderful, wide red & blue runs, very fast with superb views across to Mont Blanc; some excellent runs are only accessed by drag lifts. Hautaluce has a 1000m descent, firstly down wide open blues, then a twisting red through woods. The last run of the day was from Signal (or even higher) through woods and along quiet, narrow trails all the way back to the main lift and a bar at the bottom! Ski boots wore out, so bought new ones ... well looked after by Thierry at Ronchail Sports. We'll be back!
