3-5 November 1995, Martha. YHs. Fri: Wasdale Head to Buttermere YH via Yewbarrow, Red Pike, Pillar, Bleaberry Tarn & pub. Sat: Buttermere Lake, ascended Hassness to Robinson, Dale Head, Catbells, then along Derwentwater with moon on the water. Walked to YH via Grange on main road, in the dark with owls hooting. Sun: Glaramara via Thorneythwaite Fell. Allen Crags, Great End, Scafell Pike, Scafell (Lord's Rake, cont'd past West Wall Traverse, then ascended another gully instead of traversing right around). Simple descent to Wasdale Head.
